Poster printing in NYC
Digitech Printers prints posters at all three of our shops: Times Square, Penn Station and East Meadow. Pick a gloss, matte or satin paper. We can laminate the print or mount it on foam board, Gatorboard, Sintra or acrylic in the same shop, so it’s ready to hang or stand on an easel when you pick it up.

Poster papers
- Gloss. Strong color and contrast. Reflects light.
- Matte. No shine, so it’s easy to read under bright lights or camera flash.
- Satin. Between the two. Some sheen, less glare than gloss.
Matte or gloss posters?
Choose gloss when color and punch matter most and the poster won’t sit under strong direct light. Choose matte for posters under bright lights, behind glass or in photos, where glare would get in the way. Satin is the middle ground when you’re not sure.
Lamination
Matte, gloss or satin lamination protects the print and helps it last longer.
Mounted posters
Mount your poster on foam board, Gatorboard, Sintra or acrylic. See mount your poster on foam board.

How to order and prepare your file
- Tell us the size, paper, quantity and whether you want lamination or mounting.
- Send your poster file. PDF and AI files work. If you have a designer, 0.125″ bleed on all sides with crop marks is ideal, and so is 300 DPI.
- Approve the proof and price. Posters get a proof in some cases, especially when you ask for one, but a ready-to-print file doesn’t get a proof.
- Pick up at our Times Square print shop.
Price: quoted per project. Turnaround: depends on the job, and rush jobs are available.
Frequently asked questions
How fast can I get posters printed?
Turnaround for posters depends on the job, and rush jobs are available. Tell your nearest shop your deadline when you call.
What’s the difference between matte and gloss?
Gloss is shiny with strong color. Matte has no shine and reads better under bright lights. Satin is in between.
Do you mount or laminate posters?
Yes, both. We laminate in matte, gloss or satin and mount on foam board, Gatorboard, Sintra or acrylic.
Should I order a poster or a foam board sign?
If it will hang on a wall or go in a frame, a poster is enough. If it needs to stand on an easel or stay flat on its own, have it mounted.
Can I see a proof before you print the full run?
We provide proofs in some cases, particularly when you ask for one. If your file is ready to print, it doesn’t get a proof.
