Custom signs and vinyl lettering in NYC

Digitech Printers designs and builds custom signs at all three of our shops: Times Square, Penn Station and East Meadow. We fabricate signs to fit your space and cut vinyl lettering and graphics for storefront windows, walls and vehicles. Our team works with you from the first sketch to the finished sign, and design, printing and finishing all happen under one roof.

Sign samples: a brushed aluminum panel with raised red acrylic shapes, a blue acrylic panel on silver standoffs and a small white A-frame sign.

Custom fabrication

We design and engineer each sign to fit its spot and suit the space around it. For Aeropostale’s holiday display we contour cut an aluminum sign with a water jet and built it so mannequins could stand on top. We make retail signage for NYC stores and business signage for offices. See retail signage projects.

CAD cut vinyl lettering

Our plotters cut letters, logos and shapes from vinyl to exact size. Vinyl goes on retail windows, walls and vehicles, as a permanent or temporary application. For Aveeno we used a weatherproof adhesive that still comes off cleanly when the campaign ends.

Storefront window decals

Window decals can be cut vinyl or printed adhesive vinyl. For full-color window displays, see window graphics.

Design, build and finish in one place

Our design staff can create the sign artwork from your idea. See sign design. The same shop prints, cuts, mounts and laminates.

Installation

Our dedicated installer team installs the signs we make, along with graphics and similar work. The installation fee is additional and depends on the labor and work involved.

How to order a sign

  1. Send photos and measurements of the spot where the sign will go.
  2. Tell us whether it’s indoor or outdoor, permanent or temporary.
  3. Send your logo or artwork, or ask our design staff to make it. We accept PDF and AI files.
  4. Approve the drawing or proof and the price.

Price: quoted per project. Turnaround: depends on the job, and rush jobs are available.

Frequently asked questions

What’s the difference between a sticker and a vinyl decal?

A sticker is usually printed on paper or vinyl with a background around the design. A cut vinyl decal is cut along the shape of each letter or logo, so only the design shows on the glass.

Are window decals easy to remove?

They can be. We can use a removable adhesive for temporary graphics. On the Aveeno project the adhesive held up to weather and still came off easily.

Do you install signs?

Yes. Our installer team can install your sign; installation costs extra, based on the labor and work involved.
